Congratulations!
Most of
you have completed the first part of Coaches Training- 13 weeks of online
blogging. And all of you are about to
complete the written final exam. Yea!
Go back over the second half of our series on
Being a Godly MENTOR (Feb.9th-25th). Pick out 2 things you really
liked and write about them as if you were sharing with a man interested in M3. As
we mentioned last time, if this helps you get started, you could begin by
saying, “One of the things I really liked learning about recently in M3 was…”
1.-
2.-
3.- What advice would you give to a new protege just joining M3?
To lighten your load on this day, just write out on your MP3 card this great verse to praise God for and pass on- "Fear not, for I have redeemed you; I have summoned you by name; you are mine." Is.43:1b.
G. How many individuals or groups did you get to share and enrich from your MP3 card?
R?
E? Did you Encourage some teammates since yesterday?
A? Attacked in warfare prayer? O Lord we WAR to live Worthy lives, to Activate sidelined saints, and to see the lost Released from Satan's captivity.
T? Feel free to also share outreach opportunities you had, or you can just put up numbers.

Announcements
Don't forget to complete the topic that you are an expert on from this past Sunday's blog. Git 'er dun by tamarer nite pleaz!
Yea! You've finished the written coaches training material. Starting Monday, we will begin working our way through portions and then entire books of Scripture. Sometimes we will read for breadth covering a chapter a day, others times we will study in depth, slowing down to dig out buried treasures. Would you like to know what we will be covering? (Can you keep a secret? So can I:)
Because some potential proteges still have not gotten their applications in yet, we will extend the deadline to turn them in until Wed. March 11th. That will also give those of you going on the Encounter Retreat (Mar.6-7), the opportunity to recruit there as well. (Who loves ya?) When you recruit 2 proteges, who complete 4 weeks of being Unstoppable, you will have passed your road test. If you have completed 13 weeks on the blog (since the beginning of December), you are now done with the written. Congratulations! For a few others of you, you will be done with that in a few more weeks.
Speaking of taking a road test, have you seen this amazing road test? (This video is purely for your driving pleasure. Warning! Do not attempt this on the road to the men's retreat.)
(Note: This also is the kind of video that I've sent to a person that I planned on sending outreach videos to. It's an ice breaker. It could lead the way before other videos, or it could be interspersed with evangelistic videos. You'll be getting new ones each week. So feel free to pass this one along as you see fit. Harness the power of the internet for the rest to your life to help you sow seeds. It's a great tool to pass on many resources.)
Congrats to the 10+ men!
Robert with 10; Jack and Sam with 12; and Daniel with 15!
I'd like to give out high 5's to everyone else. Please make a goal from here on out to put up at least 5 points per day. Just by blogging and Attack praying, which you all do, gets you an automatic 2 points. If you encourage two brothers on the blog that brings you to 4 points right away, without even yet sharing your MP3 card, or contacting anyone to encourage them or doing any recruiting or outreach. The guys putting up 10 to 15 points prove that 5 is not unreasonable. You know you can do this. It's just developing a new routine. I don't want the incoming proteges to see their role models not being role models in these GREAT pursuits. If the goal of 5 seems to high for you, please call me. Thanks. I believe in you and want to help you succeed. I know you do as well.

1. One thing I learned is the importance of training up our pros and others how to use the weapons of the Spirit. Battle cries of prayers, sharpening our swords by spending time in the word, resting and trusting in our Great Defender and Shield.
ReplyDelete2. Similarly, I found a lot of value in learning to be observant as mentors and leaders.Jesus is our perfect example of being a good and observant shepherd. Says in John 10 that the good shepherd calls his sheep by name and leads them out. The shepherd doesn't drive them out but leads them, goes before them, to lead them to green pastures and flowing streams.

Great job boys on finishing three months strong! HOUSE Men.
Great job Eddie. You are a true leader and great follower of God. Keep up the good works. I know that God is saying to you "You are a good and faithful servant."
DeleteExcellent Eddie! What a great example you are! Congratulations!
ReplyDelete1.- To add from what I stated yesterday we have to keep on learning so we can be good teachers of the Word of God. I did not say great teachers I said good teachers. God is the greatest teacher of all. We all fall short of the glory of God but we are closer than we think.
ReplyDelete2.- This blog/group has helped me to be in the Word more often than I was and has help me stay in the word.
The advice I would give a new protégé for joining M3 is the men of the group are powerful believers and faithful followers of God. Join a team of strong and encouraging men.

T-I had an opportunity to share God with two people at work. One was a victim of a crime and the other was a criminal. Both received the words of God well. The criminal stated where he is house (jailed) there is two guards talking to him about God as well. He stated he appreciates what I had to say and he is going to get his life together and seek God more.
1.- In M3 I learned true meaning of the word encouragement. I had always thought about encouragement as something that you do help someone when they are going through a hard time, I did not realize it had a much broader meaning (to admonish, beg, beseech, call, console, comfort, encourage, urge). How enlightening it was to read the parts of scripture that were mentioned in today's blog with this new understanding and also what a great new lesson on how to be a good example for our proteges to follow.
ReplyDelete2.- In M3 we talked about Gen 32:10 "I am NOT WORTY of the least of all the deeds of steadfast love and all the faithfulness that you have shown to your servant..."
What an important lesson this was because when things in life are going well for me I tend to forget the source of the many blessings and start to believe that it is because I'm a good person or I'm smart, that things are working out well. Instead of acknowledging that the source of good in my life is God. Since we were encouraged to pray Attack prayers I have actively been thanking God as the source of all the many blessings received.

1. I really liked the extensive lessons on encouragement and the different types thereof. "As coaches, we need to give protégés appropriate responses-encouraging, comforting, urging or exhorting responses." (2/9/15)
ReplyDelete2. I enjoyed the lesson that we need to be noble in battle as we wage *W.A.R. against the enemies (Satan and his flunkies) of our souls.

DeleteVery good Robert! What a great impact your life has already had on so many. So glad I have you to WAR with me.
Delete3. I'd advise them to be serious and committed to what they're about to embark on. I'd tell them that it will be challenging, but exponentially rewarding. Luke 14:28-30 "Suppose one of you wants to build a tower. Won’t you first sit down and estimate the cost to see if you have enough money to complete it? For if you lay the foundation and are not able to finish it, everyone who sees it will ridicule you, saying, ‘This person began to build and wasn’t able to finish.’
ReplyDeleteGreat advice!
DeleteEphesians 6:10-12 The two things I really liked from the last couple of weeks are about the tools that we need to wage war. And how we should keep a watch on the condition fellow M3 members.
ReplyDelete1. Finally, be strong in the Lord and in his mighty power. Put on the full armor of God, so that you can take your stand against the devil’s schemes. For our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the powers of this dark world and against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly realms.
2.Acts 20:28
Keep watch over yourselves and all the flock of which the Holy Spirit has made you overseers. Be shepherds of the church of God, which he bought with his own blood.
Romans 12:10-13
Be devoted to one another in love. Honor one another above yourselves. Never be lacking in zeal, but keep your spiritual fervor, serving the Lord. Be joyful in hope, patient in affliction, faithful in prayer. Share with the Lord’s people who are in need. Practice hospitality.
3. Stick with it ,don't give up, don't be discouraged and stay in the word.

Very good George! We're blessed to have you on the team.
Delete1)I enjoy the training I receive through M3! “Train yourself to be godly.” 1 Tim.4:7
ReplyDeleteIn order for us to advance the kingdom of God, we must train for it. I like to compare the kind of job we do at work with the kind of job we do God's work. If we don't train and/or do a good job, we will not advance at work and more importantly the kingdom of God.
2) I like that M3 doesn't leave any man behind. We encourage each other especially when we need it.
Matthew 18:12 “What do you think? If a man owns a hundred sheep, and one of them wanders away, will he not leave the ninety-nine on the hills and go to look for the one that wandered off?
3) That there is nothing more rewarding than doing God's work. Train for it with M3!

Very good Sam! So glad you're my team mate. What great things lie ahead for you!
Delete1. Resources--this was very important in my conversation with a potential protégé today--as he keeps going back to if he has enough time to be on M3. I pointed out that God is 1st and everything else will follow in love as we follow Jesus. God has prepared us with all kind of resources that we must utilize-and it is our mission to put God 1st and foremost in all we do. -I asked my friend to think through all God's blessings such as his calmness, no depression, his new wife, wonderful children, new career, and most of all how God has prepared him to advance against the darkness as he was rescued by our Lord. We talked all about God's word, his will disclosed in the word, and that he must give his all to God's Kingdom and God will guide him.
ReplyDelete2. Observation--this is an area I have always focused on even before being saved as I looked to help those in trouble. Once I was saved I understand it is my mission to observe other brothers and non-believers as I look for them to assist the Lord in talking about salvation.
I plant the seed who are down or missing and wait for God to do his thing.
3, M3 is the most powerful training to prepare us for helping others find their way to Our Lord. This is what God has called us to do!

Excellent Jack! May our brother heed your heartfelt words.

ReplyDeleteOne thing I paid particular attention to is our lesson on observation. We as the shepherds of our own flocks and even shepherds within our families can continuously become equipped to see the way God sees and know where to intercede, chastise, and when to encourage. As the teachings as a part of this interlock so that we show the nobility of a changed heart and how we are tolled to each other through our encouragement and love for one another
.

Another great item that was picked up on was taking about going to battle and going to WAR. Walking in a worthy manner; Activating sidelined saints; Releasing the locked up Lost. These were very powerful words to commit to as we are committed and dedicated to setting captives free and breaking the strong holds that exist inside and outside of our community. This is very relatable to the fight against spirit and principalities rather than the fight in the flesh and the physical. Paraphrase (Eph. 6:12)
3
"I implore you to stick with the team and the plan. I hope you are moved to know that God does not fulfil his work with average and mundane but is always moving people forward into different destinies.
Im my view, being a part of the team encourages perseverance, and with that comes the strength to endure and in the long-suffering in the road ahead."
"Remember this passage
"3 Not only that, but we rejoice in our sufferings, knowing that suffering produces endurance,
4 and endurance produces character, and character produces hope,
5 and hope does not put us to shame, because God's love has been poured into our hearts through the Holy Spirit who has been given to us."

Gary, I can't believe that 3 months have passed already. You have all the makings of being a great M3 Coach. May the Lord use you to activate many manly men into His service.
DeleteBrother Gary, I'm glad you mentioned perseverance. It's crucial to be determined not to stay down when we falter, but to get back up in the strength of the Lord and keep pressing forward. God bless you :-)
DeleteVery good Gary! Great advice too!
Delete1.One of the eye opening things I learned from M3 was realizing the enemies' tactics used to sideline men from spiritual battle. Dave G called them “HARD STUCK deceptive tactics of the enemy.” Satan “gets men to believe lies about their past and thus they feel Hopeless, Abandoned, Rejected, Defective. Or they feel Shameful, Trash, Unwanted, Condemned or Kinky. Men caught up in these deceptions need help to 1) focus on their new identity in Christ, 2) They need help to renew their minds with the truth. And 3) they need help to focus on God and not their past. (Noble in Battle Part 2 2/17/15)
ReplyDelete2. I learned then need to train for Spiritual battle -to be properly dressed in spiritual armor, and to know how to weld the sword of the Spirit with confidence. I liked David G's example found 1 Chronicles 5:18-20 where the The Reubenites, the Gadites and the half tribe of Manasseh not only trained well for physical battle but they also cried out to God in trust and faith and were greatly helped. I realized that training, and determination, although necessary is not enough for our impossible mission. Before, during and after the battle I need to use the spear of the spirit, praying with cries for help and for power to remove the enemies obstacles and strong resistance. (Being a godly mentor Part 1 2/19/15 )
3.The advice I would give a protege, just joining M3 would be to pray and ask God for insight and understanding and then post first, before reviewing the posts of the other men.

Excellent Dave! So glad we can be serving together.
DeleteAs I prepare to comment on today's blog I want to take the time to be straightforward and honest. As I read today's assignment I became rather overwhelmed. My body is exhausted, my mind feels stretched to it's fullest limit (at least today), and I teeter on the edge of figuring out whether this group and it's expectations are a demand I can keep up with or whether I need to acknowledge that I truly have a lot on my plate and that I'm stretching myself too thin. I just talked to Gary and I feel a little lighter as a result but I still am unsure of my future with the group at this point. Not as an excuse but really what's so is that I get up 5am Monday-Friday and with bible study, soul purpose, and coaching 4 people within this program that I'm part of, I usually get home around 9 or 10pm with the exception of Thursday now that I've stepped away from Crossover for the time being. I don't want to go on a rant but wanted to acknowledge that I am struggling. With that being said here's my completion of the actual assignment:
ReplyDelete1. Ironically I enjoyed the lesson where we covered the different meanings of encourage. I got that it wasn't just telling people how good they're doing but rather adjusting your way of encouraging to what the circumstance calls for and being willing to even go to the uncomfortable places to make a difference for someone.
2. I also enjoyed the lesson on being Noble (first part). I liked the idea that to change a person's behavior we need to address their current identity they identify themselves with.
3. Advice I would give proteges joining would be to pray before reading the assignment, and also to not procrastinate doing the assignment. Lastly I would say don't be afraid to admit when you're weak and to seek support or encouragement.

Now has given me a high calling to live by, a calling that set my standard of living that would be pleasing to Him but also having my life be "attractive" by His word and His word living through me.

Brother, it is so Awesome to see you praying "Attack" prayers for men to rise up to their calling :) Believe me, I need all the prayers that I can get :)
DeleteRight on Ismael!
Delete1. One of the things I really liked learning about recently in M3 was... something that Dave G said, "The fastest and best way to change a person’s unworthy behavior is to change their very identity." This is very powerful, as this is what God does to us, when we accept Christ as Lord and Savior :) We become children of the Most High God, adopted into His family. We are washed clean of our sins and like the bible says, Therefore, there is now no condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus, and then we are sealed with the Holy Spirit guaranteeing our inheritance in Heaven :) Wow, talk about a New Identity :)
ReplyDelete2. Another thing I really liked learning about recently in M3 was: that we are directed and charged to TRAIN ourselves to be godly, being intentionally focused and disciplined by " Preaching the word; being prepared in season and out of season; correct, rebuke and encourage—with great patience and careful instruction." 2 Tim. 4:2. I love the verse that Dave G. writes on our GREAT scoreboard, 1 Tim. 4:15-16 which says "Be diligent in these matters; give yourself wholly to them, so that everyone may see your progress. Watch your life and doctrine closely. Persevere in them, because if you do, you will save both yourself and your hearers" :) This is so powerful, because our godly example, our perseverance in the faith, and our Bold Confident proclamation of God's word will save us and also HELP save our hearers :) or Pros :) That is powerful!!
3. I will encourage all the proteges to do their lesson everyday and to do their best to read the other comments written by our teammates. I have read many other's comments and they were filled with wisdom and godly insight for living :)

ReplyDelete1.-I really liked the reminder of the enormity of God. There is so much more about God that we do not, and can not know and/or understand. Simply the reminder of the size of our "earthly neighborhood" places in perspective the great love that God has for us and the vastness of His power and might.
ReplyDelete2.-A few weeks ago when things at work got a little overwhelming I received more encouragement from my brothers in M3 than I really knew how to handle! In other words the support that you get from this group is "more than a notion!"
3.- M3 is a helpful tool to prepare you for the daily quickening of your faith in God and what He's doing in your life and in the world around you.
