Sun. 3.1.15..Our God is an Awesome God!

Friday we wrote on our MP3 cards this great verse to praise God for and pass on- "Fear not, for I have redeemed you; I have summoned you by name; you are mine." Is.43:1b.

Perhaps we have lost a bit of the significance of this- that God knows you and me by name. So to help us, enjoy this awesome presentation! (I try to save the word "awesome" for things that truly cause jaw dropping "awe." God is awesome and the heavens He has made are awesome.)

The God who not only calls each and every one of the trillions of stars by name, also calls you by name. "I have summoned you by name." He has summoned you because he has a special purpose for your life and it includes letting others know of His great name.

The above video showed us how small we are within the Milky Way Galaxy. But would you like to compare your size to the size of the entire Universe? (Astronomers estimate that there are 100 -200 billion galaxies!) Here's a mind melting "Zoom in or Zoom out toy" you can play with to remind yourself how small you and I are compared to the entire universe- http://scaleofuniverse.com/

What great videos to pass on to saved and unsaved people! Please do so. Then in the future I'd enjoy hearing about such.

PS- After watching the above videos, I'm reminded of the title of a Christian book- "Your God is Too Small!" He is so much greater than we usually think. We crop Him out or reduce Him down to such a small size. Next time you start to pray, "Our Father who art in heaven..." I hope this heavenly video comes to mind. Wow!

  1. Watched video and it reminded me of the dvd titled, "The privileged planet" & how miniscule we really are & yet God Jehova El Roi sees me!
Shared it with six (6) people, no responses. Probably because it's still too early? Lol :-D

  10. Incredible video to watch, it gives so much perspective on how complex God's creation is. The fact we're merely a quarter sized of what he's created, gives me new hope and belief around how small my problems are and how capable he is of working them out.

  12. Great video Dave... I read a while ago, that scientists state that there is proof that the universe itself is still expanding. I believe it, because in Genesis 1:3, it states "Then God said, “Let there be light”; and there was light." --- Now think about this, I have NEVER read that God said to the light "Stop". It is proven that light travels at 180,000 miles per second, thus the universe is still expanding into infinity, all because God has never commanded the light to "Stop". Again, just another Proof that the bible is God's inerrant Word!
