Fri.1.2.15...Testing

Surprise! A week ago, I gave you most of the following questions that would be on the test. I’m sure you pulled a few all nighters cramming. So after yesterday, you were probably very disappointed that all your studying seemed to be for naught! Fear not. Here are the questions. Since you are honest men, here’s how this last portion of the test will work. Copy, paste and print out the following questions and then ask someone to quiz you (Or they could read them off this blog to you). When you can answer all of them correctly, simply celebrate on this blog by giving yourself the score of 100%, A, Perfect score, Aced it! (Or any other expression of a job well done:) I told you that you would pass.

1.-What is our mission? To multiply MANLY men.

2.-What does MANLY stand for?
Mature in character
Active in mentoring
Noble in battle
Loving in relationships
Yoked with Christ and others

3.-We also embrace the Marine Corp motto "Semper Fi" which means ______________ (Always Faithful)

4.-Our Father loves us and longs to meet with us and build us up. How often does God want us to meet with him in His word? Daily

5. There are many verses that illustrate God’s desire to meet with us daily in His word-(Dt.17:18-19; Josh.1:8; Job 23:12; Ps.1:1-3; Ps.119:97,105,148; Prov.8:34; Mt.4:4; Acts 2:42-46; 17:11; Col.3:16). Many protégés may struggle to begin keeping a new commitment to meet daily with God. Are you as a coach committed to meeting daily with God in his word and with your brothers on the blog?

5.-When a man makes and keeps the commitment to daily meet with God and his brothers on the blog, even if it means staying up late (No Scripture, No sleep), he becomes un_____________. (unstoppable). He "keeps his oath, even when it hurts" Ps.15:4. He gets the big rocks in no matter what.

6.-True or False- To earn the Unstoppable commendation, which is necessary to advance, a man needs to demonstrate that he has been faithful to his commitment by daily meeting with his brothers on the blog and posting his comments before the next blog goes up at 3:00 AM. Commenting after that time is fine, but it is not credited and he will not qualify to receive the monthly Unstoppable commendation. Faithfulness to one’s word and commitment to the word and the team is essential. All of this is True

7.-If you notice anyone on your Fire Team not being credited on the GREAT Scoreboard for reading God's word, you should:
A- Hope that Dave is lovingly reaching out to him
B- Call 911
C- Hope other guys are calling him
D- Call him myself
The answer is obviously D. And please feel free to call a brother even if he isn't on your Fire Team.

8.- We want men to show proper respect to you and each other. Therefore, if a teammate doesn’t return another team member’s phone call by the ending of the next day or is late or absent from a meeting, he needs to apologize and make amends with a drink or a doughnut. (Yum!) Are you in agreement with this?

9.-Prayer support is vital as we seek to liberate and activate men held in the enemy’s grip. If you have not yet submitted the names and email addresses to Dave at dgarratt@sbcglobal.net, please do so to pass the test.

10.- Isaac was born miraculously by very old parents. Jesus was born miraculously by only one parent. Who was the only person in the Bible born of no parents? (see Dt.1:38)

Announcements
It's been a great first month together and I want to keep it that way for all. So please feel free to contact me via phone, text, email or face to face with your questions or suggestions for improvement. Here's a question for you- How can we make our Scoreboard competition more enjoyable? It's really not been very competitive, since everyone was commenting daily on the blog. But as we are introducing more letters of GREAT, there could be more room for competition and scoring. What might make it more fun? Whachuthink?

This Sunday, stop by our blog for news you're going to like regarding your GDP.

Also this Sunday, you and your prayer partners will get emailed our first M3 Prayer Partners update. We've been studying for the last couple weeks on the Lord's Prayer, so this is good timing for this. Our prayer partners will aid us in our prayer battles, certainly not replace us. We're fighting the good fight.

Hey, you'll notice next to your name, if you started Dec.1st, that you now have U.1 next to your name on the GREAT Scoreboard below. U stands for Unstoppable and 1 stands for the one month (Dec.) you have been Unstoppable. As you are are faithful every day this month of January, at the end of the month you will be U.2. (You can then book concert halls and stuff:) Such attainments will be duly honored each subsequent month, not with more pins, but with progress marked and celebrated. For those of you who recently joined, just be faithful each day and you will be honored with the Unstoppable pin at our February meeting.

  1. 1. 100% - I got my brother involved, who isn't walking too close to the Lord right now. I thought, "what better way to get some sparks flying, then to get him informed on what it means to be a MANLY Man.

  2. 1. 100% - I asked one of my prayer partners at work to quiz me during our afternoon break. He thought highly of M3.

    1. That question stumped me as well and thought Adam wasn't born, he was created. So I asked Dave and he explained that the question was meant to infuse some humor, a play on the name of Joshua's father's name, Nun. Get, it? The Son of Nun! :-D

  7. Well, I managed to get all the answers right but you wouldn't thing so with the number of R's this letter represents today. (My wife sat me down to discuss some incidents that occurred yesterday.)

  8. 100% Did it. Thanks E for quizzing me. Also I thought about that last one and remembered a bible study from Hebrews. That also sounds like Melchizedec to me.

    1. Very good answer to #10 Gary! Of course with the Dt.1:38 reference, it was just a joke to end the test on. :)
