Surprise!!! This
Sunday I promised you a surprise, but the surprise is on me. John Pollazzi was
scheduled to share his GDP (Growing Deeper Project), but surprised me by
stepping down from M3. I do not share this to put him down. Instead, I would
ask that we dedicate this blog to kind words you may wish to share that I will
copy and send to him. Right now he said he is feeling like he needs to devote
more time to his marriage and the worship team. I asked and he assured me that
his marriage is not suffering. And he said that he enjoyed the good comments
from everyone on the blog. I love John and hope down the road he will re-join us. He was in
my first NGL group 3 years ago. He faithfully came all the way over to my house with 3 other young men (including Gary), early every Saturday morning.
I also want to commend Sam who called John, since they were on the same Fire Team. He noticed that John hadn't posted and was concerned. (I'm emailing out again the list of everyone's phone numbers and emails, so we can reach out beyond the blog.) Men, if
you are ever feeling weighed down, we are here to help. Don’t hold things in.
God knit us together to function as a body, where the members are to know and bare
one another’s burdens. I’m so pleased already with how your prayers have gone
out for others going through tough times. I’ve never been part of such a group.
Our bonds will only grow stronger as we get to know one another better and
battle together. Udabest!
On a
brighter note, I am looking forward to soon introducing to you “a few good men”
who also want to join us. I believe they are in for the best spiritual
experience of their lives as they join forces with you. You all are the firstfruits of so much more to come. Semper Fi!
The surprise I want to yet give you is that if you are having any hang ups on your own GDP, contact me and I will help you. This is not meant to be a hard thing (Your reveiw test wasn't, was it?!). I simply want you to become familiar with some of the many online resources that are available to you to help you.

Walter, I'm sorry to hear that you've stepped down from this ministry but I'm proud of your commitment to your marriage. I know the other ministries (Leading Men's groups, ushering, etc.) you're involved with keep you plenty busy. Love you brother, God bless :-)
ReplyDeleteRobert. Hey Bro it's Zjohn Pallozzi from the worship team. No worries, just want to let you know
ReplyDeleteYes, you're absolutely right. I got him mixed up with his dad. Thanks for clearing that up for me. I guess that's what I get for attempting to multitask, lol.
DeleteHey John. I'm so sorry to hear about your departure-- but you will be back and very welcome by all. You are an inspiration as you lead worship, your posts to the blog, and who you are inside. You lead by example and I look forward to continuing our friendship and following our Lord. Good luck Bro
ReplyDeleteJohn, first and foremost I extend my apologies for the mix up. The sentiments remain true. Praying for and wishing you all the best. God bless you brother :-)
ReplyDeleteDearest John
ReplyDeleteFirstly, I want you to "wrap me in your arms" (Worship Team inside joke). Secondly, I want you to understand how proud I am of you for creating the space to do what the Lord is calling you to do. All too often I often find myself saying yes to things that I can not possible make the time to do and to see you setting priorities and sticking with them seems like exactly the kind of thing that will make you "unstoppable". Love you Dude!
I talked to John first hand today. I have had the opportunity over the last year to get to know him more with another mentoring group I'm in with him under Pastor Mark. Love his heart and realness. Will miss him in this but will stay close to him and still provide that encouragement.
ReplyDeleteAs for today's message. Really hit home for me...i was even praying and talking with Dad. I know the moves I make will affect my future. I love the charge that Pastor Mark gave us. Men let's win the battles of today so that we will be prepared for the challenges of tomorrow. Such an advocate for reminders in my life, my room, workplace, car...has sticky notes, verses, picutes, and reminders all over, but I sometimes overlook them. Time to Refocus and Realign. Have a great week bros. Grace and Peace!
